Junior Configuration & Document Conformity Specialist

About the role

An opportunity for a Quality Configuration & Conformity Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the Quality Configuration & Conformity (QCC) team, dedicated to verifying product configuration, conformity and airworthiness throughout the full industrial lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Verify product configuration, track deviations and release official airworthiness compliance documentation (e.g., EASA/DEMAR Form 52 & 53, Mil CoC, EASA Form 1, NQAR delegation, flight permits).
• Act as the primary quality interface for internal departments, customers and civil/military authorities regarding Organization Approvals (DOA, POA, MOA) and compliance.
• Support end‑to‑end customer handover at Customer Centers or on‑site and integrate feedback into quality improvement actions.
• Manage the Change Control Process and Configuration Baseline evolution by evaluating new inputs, decision‑making impacts and product breakdown structures.
• Drive Non‑Conformity Reports (NCRs) from initiation through root‑cause analysis to final resolution and recurrence prevention.
• Establish, monitor and evaluate quality KPIs to support business performance dialogues and continuously evolve QMS documentation.

Required profile

• Aeronautical, Quality or Industrial Engineering degree or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant experience in Quality Assurance, Configuration Management or Airworthiness within the aerospace sector.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• In‑depth knowledge of airworthiness regulations (EASA, DEMAR, DOA, POA, MOA), Quality Management Systems and product configuration lifecycle processes.
