Knowledge Platform Lead

About the role

Santander’s Savings & Investments domain is seeking an Investment Knowledge Platform Lead to drive the adoption of a unified Knowledge Base across all countries and entities. Based in Boadilla del Monte (Madrid), you will transform structured and unstructured information into an AI‑ready enterprise asset by designing scalable data models, knowledge architectures and cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the roadmap for the Savings & Investment Knowledge Platform (K2).
• Establish target architecture, implementation roadmap and governance model aligned with Santander’s Global AI strategy.
• Design global conceptual, logical and physical data models, metadata, taxonomies and semantic models.
• Create reference architecture for the global platform and local replicas, ensuring scalability, interoperability, security and governance.
• Develop AI‑native knowledge architectures using Knowledge Bases, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, vector databases and large language models.
• Set standards for data ingestion, indexing, retrieval and semantic search.
• Design AWS‑based cloud architectures for global and local deployments and coordinate implementation across countries.
• Lead adoption of the platform, working closely with Business, IT, Data, Architecture and AI teams.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in enterprise architecture, AI and data platforms.
• Strong experience in program leadership and change management.
• Ability to define global standards, lead architecture decisions and coordinate multi‑country implementations.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams.
