Landing Gear Engineer - System & Structure Design

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a senior Landing Gear Engineer to join the Landing Gear Design Office in Getafe, supporting the A‑400M military program. You will be responsible for the full engineering lifecycle of landing‑gear systems, from concept to in‑service support.

Key responsibilities

• Design and specify landing‑gear systems, subsystems, components and structural architectures meeting safety, quality, cost and operational requirements.
• Perform load, stress and risk analyses to qualify and certify landing‑gear modules throughout their lifecycle.
• Drive system integration and verification & validation (V&V) processes aligned with A‑400M configuration and safety standards.
• Manage continued airworthiness, delivering technical risk and safety assessments for critical operational challenges.
• Provide engineering support to manufacturing, quality, MAP and customer‑support functions.
• Lead technical interactions with suppliers and internal stakeholders, anticipating program needs and resolving critical issues.

Required profile

• Aeronautical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years experience in aeronautical/military industry, including at least 5 years on the A‑400M program.
• At least 5 years experience within a landing‑gear design office.
• Advanced fluency in English.
