Legal Counsel (Spain)

About the role

Fuse Energy is an AI-first energy company raising over $200M from top-tier investors, building a fully integrated energy business that develops its own solar, batteries and grid infrastructure, trades power in real time and sells directly to consumers. It is hiring a Legal Counsel in Spain to support its commercial, corporate and regulatory workstreams as it expands across multiple jurisdictions. The workplace is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Own deal flow: review, draft and negotiate MSAs, product order forms and supplier/customer/technology agreements, flagging risks early and finding practical solutions.
• Drive product forward: turn legal and regulatory requirements into clear guidance for new product lines, research regulations, use them to develop product specs, and review designs end-to-end so they are launch-ready and compliant.
• Provide day-to-day advice to Operations, Finance, Trading and Product, turning complex issues into simple decisions.
• Support UK and cross-border compliance, coordinate filings and regulatory submissions, and maintain policies, registers and training.
• Build scalable infrastructure: create and refine templates, clause libraries, playbooks and best practices, streamline workflows and automate routine work.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in Spain (or equivalent common law jurisdiction).
• Fluency in Spanish and strong professional English, written and spoken.
• 5+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally with a mix of law firm and in-house exposure.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Enthusiasm for renewable energy, decentralisation and technology-driven change.
