Manufacturing Engineering Business Methods Engineer - Data Analytics & AI

About the role

Airbus Operations in Getafe (Madrid) is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Business Methods Engineer to join the Central Manufacturing Engineering Work Preparation (OMMD) team within the Airbus Production System Efficiency organization. The role leads digital transformation projects for the Work Preparation community, using data analytics, automation and artificial intelligence to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead digital transformation projects by deploying unified platforms (e.g., MEGA) to streamline end-to-end preparation dossier creation (PFMEA, routing, SOI, work order release) across plants and final assembly lines.
• Define the department's ME data analytics strategy and act as the data custodian and main link to data governance teams.
• Drive process automation through RPA, machine learning and AI solutions within the Work Preparation scope.
• Ensure compliance and data consistency by enforcing Airbus Export Control Regulations with digital tools such as tagging tools.
• Provide technical expertise and change management to local and transnational teams through digital coaching and facilitation.
• Support end-to-end data integration across business objects (SOI, BoM, routing, drawing) and shop floor guidance functions.

Required profile

• 5-year degree (master's or equivalent) in mechanical engineering, IT or a related engineering field.
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering work preparation, with proven project leadership and change management experience.
• English at negotiation level.
• Nice to have: master's in data analytics, digital transformation or AI; knowledge of AWS, GCP, RPA, machine learning and Airbus Export Control Regulations; French, German or Spanish.

• Palantir Foundry (Skywise) or programming
• Strong knowledge of AI foundations and deep understanding of ME work preparation data flows
• Stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills, and ability to work in a transnational environment
