Microsoft 365 Information & Knowledge Management Architect

About the role

Accenture is looking for a Microsoft 365 Information & Knowledge Management Architect in Madrid. You will design and govern enterprise-scale information, collaboration and knowledge-management solutions across Microsoft 365, defining the target architecture, governance framework, security model and information lifecycle strategy for highly regulated environments. You will work closely with business, security, compliance and engineering teams to keep information classified, protected and discoverable while enabling secure collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the target architecture for information and knowledge management across Microsoft 365, including information architecture, governance, content classification, metadata management and secure collaboration.
• Design information architectures, taxonomies, metadata models and content-governance strategies aligned with business, security and compliance needs.
• Set up information-classification frameworks, segregation, secure collaboration boundaries and mandatory classification controls.
• Design and govern information protection, classification, retention, records management, compliance and data loss prevention.
• Define secure access models based on need-to-know, least privilege and Zero Trust.
• Lead content lifecycle strategies, including retention, archival, disposition, auditing and records management.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural governance for migration, modernization and digital-workplace initiatives.
• Run architecture workshops with stakeholders, develop roadmaps, reference architectures, standards and operating models, and support delivery teams during implementation.
• Act as subject matter expert for SharePoint, Microsoft 365 governance and information management best practices.

Required profile

• 10+ years designing, architecting and delivering SharePoint and Microsoft technologies in complex enterprise environments.
• Proven experience as architecture lead for SharePoint and Microsoft 365 information management solutions.
• Experience with SharePoint Online migration and modernization, and with IKM or enterprise information-governance programs.
• Experience in regulated environments with data classification, auditability and access control.
• Excellent written and verbal English, able to lead workshops and stakeholder discussions.

• SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Enterprise information architectures, taxonomy and metadata governance.
• Information lifecycle management (retention, archival, versioning, disposition, auditing).
• Knowledge management principles (capture, organization, discovery, reuse).
