New Business Account Manager – Spain & Portugal

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a results‑driven Account Manager to lead new‑logo acquisition across Spain and Portugal. You will focus on the Pharma/Lifescience, Consumer Packaged Goods, Manufacturing and Pulp & Paper sectors, helping to expand AVEVA’s footprint in these strategic markets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect and generate new business opportunities within the assigned territory and market segments.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact and qualification through negotiation and deal closure.
• Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to consistently achieve sales targets.
• Create and execute a strategic territory plan to maximise market penetration and revenue growth.
• Build and nurture long‑lasting relationships with new customers, establishing a foundation for future growth.

Required profile

• Proven track record in B2B sales with a focus on new‑business development (“hunting”) in Pharma/Lifescience, CPG, Manufacturing or Pulp & Paper industries.
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales quotas consistently.
• Experience selling software solutions or technology products to large and medium‑sized enterprises.
• Full professional fluency in Spanish and English; Portuguese proficiency is a plus.
• Based in Spain or Portugal with willingness to travel to meet prospective clients.
