O&M Performance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an O&M Performance Engineer to support the technical and operational optimisation of our international portfolio of utility‑scale photovoltaic and wind power plants. The role will focus on monitoring asset performance, analysing data, and driving improvements to maximise availability, reliability and energy yield.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse performance of renewable assets, tracking KPIs such as Performance Ratio, Availability, Specific Yield, Curtailment, MTTR and MTBF.
• Identify production deviations through SCADA data analysis and data‑analytics platforms, performing root‑cause investigations and recommending corrective actions.
• Conduct energy loss analyses, irradiance validation and data‑quality assessments to ensure accurate performance reporting.
• Coordinate with local O&M teams, asset managers and external contractors to implement optimisation measures including inverter settings, tracker optimisation, cleaning strategies and preventive‑maintenance improvements.
• Review O&M contractor performance against SLAs, warranties and contractual obligations, preparing technical reports and monthly performance presentations for management.
• Support the preparation of operational budgets, forecasts and performance benchmarking across the portfolio.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction and development teams during commissioning, testing and hand‑over phases.
• Contribute to the standardisation of O&M processes, tools and reporting systems and drive digitalisation and predictive performance initiatives.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Industrial, Electrical or related field; a Master’s in Renewable Energy is a plus.
• 4–5 years of experience in renewable‑energy operations, performance engineering or O&M.
• Proven experience with utility‑scale photovoltaic or wind assets.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret large data sets and generate actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional and multicultural teams.
