Principal Data Analyst

About the role

Socialpoint is seeking a Principal Data Analyst to join its Analytics team in Barcelona. In this senior position you will partner with game development teams to shape product strategy, drive data‑informed decisions and boost player engagement across our portfolio of mobile games.

Key responsibilities

• Develop data‑driven strategies for flagship games, influencing roadmaps, features and monetisation.
• Analyse player behaviour, in‑game economy trends and product performance with cross‑functional partners.
• Design and execute A/B tests, build predictive models (churn, LTV, segmentation) and forecast outcomes.
• Mentor junior analysts, create compelling dashboards and present insights to senior leadership.
• Collaborate on improving data tools, pipelines and promote a culture of data literacy.

Required profile

• Proven experience in analytics or data‑science roles, preferably within gaming, mobile apps or digital products.
• Strong business sense and product intuition to prioritise impactful analyses.
• Hands‑on expertise in A/B testing, causal inference and experimentation design.
• Applied statistics background; Bayesian methods are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
