Professional Services Manager

About the role

Abacum, a business planning platform for finance teams, is hiring a Professional Services Manager in Barcelona. The role owns end-to-end delivery of implementation projects, from pre-sales scoping through kickoff and delivery, and acts as a trusted advisor to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of implementation projects, from pre-sales scoping through kickoff and delivery.
• Partner with Sales during pre-sales to scope projects, size effort and present the SOW to clients.
• Build project documents, sprint plans, budgets and resource plans.
• Manage implementations delivered directly and through partners, holding partners to the same quality bar.
• Manage scope, risk and change control, escalating early through governance processes.
• Advise client stakeholders on process and organisation changes needed to get value from the platform.
• Coordinate with Product, Support, Sales, Customer Success and delivery partners for a consistent client experience.
• Work hands-on with the product, develop AI to speed delivery, refine templates and sprint cadences, and mentor junior team members and partner consultants.

Required profile

• 4+ years of hands-on experience implementing a financial planning/EPM platform (required).
• Experience scoping projects pre-sale and presenting SOWs to clients.
• Direct experience managing implementations delivered through third-party partners or resellers.
• Track record managing multi-stakeholder, multi-workstream projects with technical and change-management elements.
• Ability to read a scope document critically and flag risk early.
• Excellent client-facing communication, comfortable presenting to senior finance stakeholders.
• Formal Project Management qualifications are a plus.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of FP&A processes (budgeting, forecasting, reporting, consolidation)
• Proficiency with SaaS project tools and Agile/hybrid methodologies
• Bonus: working knowledge of other planning use cases such as workforce planning
