Senior Business Analyst – Commercial Compliance

About the role

BASE life science is a business and technology consulting firm founded in 2015, working with life sciences companies and biotech start-ups on strategy and implementation. It is looking for a Senior Business Analyst in Barcelona to help clients turn business goals into scalable, system-supported solutions, working with global cross-functional teams. The role suits candidates with either a technical background or a business consulting mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Lead workstreams or small teams on client projects, ensuring quality delivery and stakeholder alignment.
• Conduct process assessments and define future-state operating models across commercial functions.
• Translate business needs into system requirements and support end-to-end implementation of platforms.
• Facilitate workshops, gather requirements and manage documentation such as project plans and RAID logs.
• Support IT and commercial strategy, including CRM, events management implementation, consent management optimization and system integration.
• Drive change management, including training design, stakeholder engagement and adoption planning.
• Take part in RfP responses and deliver presentations.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in consulting, project delivery or the life sciences industry.
• Experience in global and/or regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals or financial services.
• Prior consulting experience, especially in leading firms, is valued but not required.
• English verbal and written communication skills; ability to present to diverse audiences and senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable in agile, international and remote environments.

Required skills

• CRM and commercial technology: hands-on consulting with Salesforce and Veeva (certifications a plus); exposure to platform rollouts and integrations.
• Life sciences and compliance: understanding of pharmaceutical business processes and regulatory requirements; knowledge of GDPR, data privacy and consent management; event management experience a plus.
• Project and change management: Agile and/or traditional methods (PMP, Agile certifications a plus); Jira, Confluence or similar tools.
