Senior Functional Safety Engineer (FUSA)

About the role

Lear For You is looking for a Senior Functional Safety Engineer based in Valls, reporting to the Functional Safety Supervisor. The role covers safety-related technical topics for running projects and RFI/RFQs, mainly systems, and leads the Functional Safety team in Europe and Rabat.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support safety technical topics for running projects and RFI/RFQs, mainly systems
• Ensure safety technical compliance and the safety package, perform RFQ gate reviews and cost estimation
• Lead and manage the Functional Safety team in Europe and Rabat
• Ensure lean safety releases for production
• Lead the adoption of a safety culture from a technical perspective
• Provide functional safety consultancy to other departments and projects
• Support project execution, ISO 26262 adaptation and compliance, and coach the team

Required profile

• Proven experience in safety technical activities and work product generation (systems, hardware or software parts)
• At least 5 years of proven experience in functional safety design activities
• Experience providing safety-related training and/or coaching
• English is mandatory; German is desirable
• High communication and presentation skills
