About the role
Lear For You is looking for a Senior Functional Safety Engineer based in Valls, reporting to the Functional Safety Supervisor. The role covers safety-related technical topics for running projects and RFI/RFQs, mainly systems, and leads the Functional Safety team in Europe and Rabat.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and support safety technical topics for running projects and RFI/RFQs, mainly systems
- Ensure safety technical compliance and the safety package, perform RFQ gate reviews and cost estimation
- Lead and manage the Functional Safety team in Europe and Rabat
- Ensure lean safety releases for production
- Lead the adoption of a safety culture from a technical perspective
- Provide functional safety consultancy to other departments and projects
- Support project execution, ISO 26262 adaptation and compliance, and coach the team
Required profile
- Proven experience in safety technical activities and work product generation (systems, hardware or software parts)
- At least 5 years of proven experience in functional safety design activities
- Experience providing safety-related training and/or coaching
- English is mandatory; German is desirable
- High communication and presentation skills
Required skills
- Proficiency in ISO 26262:2011 and 2018
- Functional safety design and assessment
