Senior Software Engineer (Python, Remote)

About the role

Fever, a tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its engineering team. The role is based in Spain and is 100% home-office friendly. You will create, develop, improve and maintain the services behind the iOS and Android apps and the website, working in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in planning, grooming and retrospectives, and get to know the departments of Fever.
• Learn the tech stack: application frameworks, CI/CD workflows and supporting infrastructure.
• Write production-grade Python code that handles high traffic, measure outcomes and improve the product.
• Design and implement solutions for complex problems, from architecture to implementation.
• Take responsibility for parts of the systems, analyse user usage and evolve the platform.
• Help launch a new microservice from 0 to production.
• Mentor colleagues through code reviews, architecture sessions and pair programming.

Required profile

• Proven software development results and experience, with a focus on code quality.
• Ability to deliver code from development to production.
• Proficiency in business English.

Required skills

• Good practices, testing and design patterns.
• Event streaming platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• RESTful APIs (implementation and consumption).
• Relational databases and SQL.
• Plus: Django/Flask, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, Docker and Kubernetes.

• Base salary of 50K-75K EUR, total compensation of 67K-90K EUR including variable pay and stock options.
