Structural Test Production Planning & Engineering Support Engineer (Temp)

About the role

This temporary position supports Airbus' Structural Test Laboratory in Getafe, Madrid. You will ensure smooth production planning, assembly coordination, and engineering support for a wide range of structural validation activities during a 19‑week fixed‑term assignment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee shop‑floor workload, laboratory resources and subcontractor coordination to meet project deadlines.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams of office engineers, workshop staff and external stakeholders.
• Prepare internal project proposals with detailed time, cost and resource estimates.
• Monitor planning targets, identify variances and implement corrective actions.
• Supervise static, fatigue, damage‑tolerance, stiffness, bird‑impact, dynamic and calibration tests.
• Provide technical support to Structural Design and Analysis departments throughout product development and maintenance.
• Act as the point of contact for manufacturing and services divisions on structural integrity queries.
• Ensure all testing complies with airworthiness regulations and internal quality standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and contribute to technology road‑map and digital transformation initiatives.
• Drive Lean and continuous‑improvement projects to increase laboratory throughput.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or related field.
• Experience in managing complex structural test programmes.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of airworthiness regulations and quality processes.
