Test Engineer for General Systems and AAR Systems

About the role

The position is based in the Flight and Integration Test Center at Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe, Spain. It focuses on integration testing of general aircraft systems, power‑plant and flight‑control systems, with a particular emphasis on AAR (Air‑to‑Air Refuelling) solutions. The role supports virtual, laboratory and aircraft‑level tests from development through certification.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, execute and analyse integration tests in virtual environments, rigs and on‑aircraft, supporting both development and flight‑test campaigns.
• Define test requirements, procedures and test plans for safety‑critical subsystems and ensure proper configuration of test means.
• Coordinate with test framework, instrumentation and rig teams to provide data reduction, monitoring and analysis tools.
• Interface with design offices, certification authorities and flight‑test engineers, delivering test reports and supporting certification meetings.

Required profile

• Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum five years of experience in aircraft system testing, including general systems, flight‑control and power‑plant testing.
• Proven experience in test definition, execution and results reporting for safety‑critical systems.
• Fluent in English and Spanish with strong communication skills.
