About the role

The Barceló Group is seeking a motivated Assistant Restaurant Manager (2nd Chef) for its La Nucía property. You will support the Maitre in delivering high‑quality food and beverage service, driving sales, and leading a dedicated team in a dynamic resort environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and control all defined processes for restaurant service delivery.
• Achieve departmental sales targets by planning promotional actions and training the team.
• Organise and coordinate the restaurant and bar operations.
• Control costs and optimise resource utilisation.
• Recruit, train, motivate and develop staff members.
• Ensure service quality meets guest expectations, following the Maitre’s guidelines.

Required profile

• Higher‑level hospitality or tourism qualification (e.g., Superior Cycle in Hospitality, Tourism degree, HACCP training).
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar restaurant management role.
• High level of English; additional language is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills: kindness, empathy, assertiveness, and active listening.
• Customer‑oriented mindset with commercial awareness.
• Ability to work in a team, delegate, plan, organise and make decisions under pressure.
• Professional personal image.

Required skills

• HACCP (APPCC) knowledge.
• Proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office or equivalent).
