A330 MRTT B1/B2 Aircraft Maintenance Technician

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space (AD&S) in Getafe, Madrid, is hiring an A330 MRTT B1/B2 Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join its Final Assembly Line team with double shifts. The role sits in the Flight Line Centre AG4 team and combines aircraft preparation for flight, production works and troubleshooting, with occasional trips abroad to customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, perform and certify base and line maintenance works as a B1 certifying staff, working with a small group of non-licensed technicians when needed.
• Prepare aircraft for flight by applying the items recorded in the Test Preparation Sheet (TPS) issued by FlightOps for each flight.
• Carry out production works on the aircraft to prepare it for ground test, managed by the MRTT Design Office and supervised by FAL-Quality, and provide support during tests.
• Perform retrofit mechanical works and tests according to service bulletins or job cards.
• Fix discrepancies, troubleshoot, handle and service aircraft.
• Support A330 MRTT and A310 DEMO when required.
• Willingness to travel abroad regularly to support ground and flight tests, service bulletin implementation and conversion works at subcontractor premises.

Required profile

• EASA Part 66 Category B1 licence for Airbus A330 (RR Trent 700 and GE CF6) without limitations (mandatory).
• Valid EASA Part 66 Category B2 licence with A330 highly recommended.
• At least 5 years of experience in Airbus aircraft maintenance, including at least 2 years on A330 (Trent 700) and/or CF6.
• Fluent English and Spanish at negotiation level.
• Willingness to work abroad regularly and to obtain national and NATO security clearance (highly appreciated).
• Experience with high-quality standards, work recording and job traceability, and reading detailed technical data and maintenance manuals in English.
