A330 MRTT B1/B2 Aircraft Maintenance Technician

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space (AD&S) is hiring a B2 Aircraft Maintenance Technician in the Getafe area, joining the Final Assembly Line (FAL) A330 MRTT Flight Line Centre team. The role combines aircraft preparation for flight, production works and troubleshooting, and involves occasional trips abroad to support ground and flight tests at customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, perform and certify base and line maintenance works as a B2 certifying staff, working with a small group of non-licensed technicians when needed.
• Prepare aircraft for flight by applying the items recorded in the Test Preparation Sheet (TPS) issued by FlightOps for each flight.
• Carry out production works on the aircraft to prepare it for ground test, managed by the MRTT Design Office and supervised by FAL-Quality, and provide support during tests.
• Perform retrofit electrical works and tests according to service bulletins or job cards.
• Fix discrepancies, troubleshoot and service the aircraft.
• Willingness to travel abroad to support ground and flight test campaigns at customer sites.

Required profile

• EASA Part 66 category B2 licence without limitations; a valid B2 licence is recommended.
• Previous experience in Airbus aircraft maintenance on A330 (RR Trent 700) and/or GE CF6 engines; B1 licence desirable.
• Fluent English and Spanish at negotiation level.
• Wide experience in test execution and troubleshooting, and experience with detailed technical data and manufacturer maintenance manuals in English.
• National and NATO security clearance highly appreciated; willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with high-quality standards, work recording and job traceability, and aircraft health and safety procedures.
