Account Manager

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring an Account Manager in Las Rozas. The role is hybrid, with an average of 2 days per week spent in an HPE office. The Account Manager manages one or more larger accounts or acts as account lead for a substantial part of a top account, driving growth and profitability while building a strong pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the customer's business challenges and goals into IT opportunities and articulate a connection between the customer's core KPIs and HPE's portfolio.
• Build and execute account business plans and drive growth in HPE's strategic value portfolio.
• Ensure a strong, rightsized pipeline and lead pipeline-building activities for the account.
• Define an engagement model with key influencers and decision makers, and run regular account governance with the extended account team.
• Develop partner relationships and work with the HPE Partner Business Manager to update the partner strategy for the account.
• Stay current on IT trends and describe HPE's portfolio and its use in other customers.
• Manage moderately complex sales engagements and close deals of moderate complexity, typically with mid-level decision makers.

Required profile

• University or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Typically 4-8+ years of sales experience; account management experience desired.
• Experience in the IT industry preferred, and experience working within IT departments or with customers is a plus.
• Experience in a vertical industry preferred.
• Typically manages 1 to many accounts of moderate revenue, or a portion of a large account within an assigned geography.

• Sales execution and ability to deliver on short-term sales objectives.

• Knowledge of HPE products, solutions and services.
