Accounting & Reporting Expert

About the role

ING is looking for an Accounting & Reporting Expert to join its Budget, Accounting & Reconciliation team within the COO Office in Madrid. The team reconciles all accounts related to the processes in the COO domain, using Azure to manage priorities and capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile daily settlements of transactions such as transfers (SEPA & SWIFTs), checks, Bizum, Twyp and others, ensuring amounts are correct
• Analyse and resolve localised differences in daily settlements
• Inventory products such as mortgages and loans and reconcile their payments
• Detect and monitor operations involved in the process
• Support process owners on relevant accounting differences and report closing balances to Finance, justifying differences against risk thresholds
• Take part in internal projects defining requirements and improving processes to reduce manual workload

Required profile

• More than 4 years of experience in accounting or audit departments; banking experience is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Proactive improvement of processes and close monitoring of risk assessment
• Ability to simplify solutions and explain them clearly to international stakeholders
• Willingness to work with colleagues across ING under tight deadlines and to act as an ambassador of the Orange Code
