Client Tax Services Specialist

About the role

ING is looking for a Client Tax Services Specialist to join its Client Tax Services Team within Financial Crime Prevention in Madrid. The team executes end-to-end client tax processes across onboarding, in-life management and tax reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Support end-to-end client tax processes across onboarding, in-life management and tax reporting.
• Maintain and validate client tax information, including tax residency, CRS/FATCA classifications, W-8/W-9 documentation and withholding tax attributes.
• Perform tax operational controls and ensure data quality across systems and reporting.
• Help prepare, validate and submit tax reports to internal stakeholders and external authorities.
• Investigate and resolve tax-related incidents, client queries, exceptions and data discrepancies.
• Support compliance with CRS, FATCA, withholding tax and double tax relief requirements.
• Work with KYC, Operations, Technology, Compliance and the business, and take part in audits, regulatory reviews and control testing.
• Identify improvements, support automation and change projects, and monitor operational KPIs.

Required profile

• 3-6 years of experience in client taxation, tax operations, tax reporting or investment services in banking.
• Knowledge of investment-client taxation and tax reporting obligations.
• Understanding of CRS, FATCA, W-8/W-9, withholding tax and double tax relief.
• Experience with operational processes, controls and regulatory requirements.
• Advanced Spanish and advanced English.
