AI Azure Foundry Engineer

About the role

SD Worx is seeking an AI Azure Foundry Engineer to accelerate the transition to AI‑enabled smart automation. You will design and deliver intelligent automation solutions that reduce repetitive work and boost efficiency for internal Payroll and Product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build automation solutions using Azure AI Foundry, including model orchestration, vector search, secure prompt pipelines, and evaluation tooling.
• Develop and maintain Python‑based AI services integrated with Foundry workflows, AI hubs, models, and datasets.
• Create reusable AI components, best‑practice patterns, and guidelines for prompt design, model governance, and safe deployment.
• Lead discussions on AI architecture, responsible AI, and performance optimisation.
• Develop end‑to‑end intelligent automation for high‑frequency, high‑effort processes such as document understanding, NLP workflows, agentic automation, and retrieval‑augmented automation.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems via secure APIs, microservices, and Python automation scripts.
• Collaborate closely with Payroll and Product SMEs to translate business challenges into technical requirements.
• Ensure solutions follow engineering best practices, including version control, testing, observability, monitoring, and secure development.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in AI/ML and cloud‑based automation.
• Experience delivering production‑grade AI solutions in an enterprise environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and communicate complex AI concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
