AI & Data Engineering Intern

About the role

HP is looking for a Data Engineer Intern to join its Data & AI team in Sant Cugat del Valles. You will work on modern data and AI solutions, building solutions on Databricks and collaborating with data engineers, architects, analysts and business teams. The internship runs from February to June-July 2027, is paid, and lasts between 4 and 12 months, with part-time (4 h/day) or full-time (8 h/day) schedules.

To be eligible, you must be currently enrolled at a university in Spain, stay enrolled until the end of the internship, and be able to sign an internship agreement with your university.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and transformations in Databricks
• Use Python and SQL to transform and prepare enterprise data
• Help build reliable, reusable and business-ready datasets
• Implement data quality checks and support data governance and documentation
• Explore how data enables AI-powered solutions and intelligent applications
• Work with data engineers, data architects and business teams to turn business needs into technical solutions
• Experiment with new technologies and identify opportunities to innovate and automate

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Data Engineering or Artificial Intelligence
• Proactive, innovative and curious, motivated to learn by doing
• Available to start in February 2027 and finish by June-July 2027
