AI Governance Specialist

About the role

Zurich Technology Delivery Center is seeking an AI Governance Specialist to join the Group Responsible AI (RAI) team. You will help shape the ethical, transparent, and secure deployment of AI across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor emerging AI regulations, industry standards and best practices to strengthen Zurich’s AI governance framework.
• Apply AI governance frameworks, including the EU AI Act, to AI use cases and business initiatives.
• Conduct AI risk and impact assessments for responsible AI use across the organisation.
• Advise business, technology, risk, legal, compliance and security stakeholders on Responsible AI requirements.
• Develop and continuously improve AI governance processes, controls, standards and review methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure AI solutions are deployed in a compliant, ethical and risk‑aware manner.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Data or a related field.
• Proven experience in AI Governance, Responsible AI, Model Risk Management or AI Risk and Compliance, including hands‑on AI risk and impact assessments.
• Practical knowledge of the EU AI Act and familiarity with AI governance standards such as NIST AI RMF or ISO 42001.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML systems, including model design, data usage, performance, limitations and associated risks.
• Experience designing or scaling AI governance frameworks in regulated environments; insurance or financial services experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).

Required skills
