AIT Technician – Satellite Integration

About the role

The AIT Technician will join the AIT Shopfloor team at Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe, supporting the thermomechanical and electrical integration of satellites and performing functional testing. This role combines hands‑on assembly of flight‑critical sub‑assemblies with strict adherence to procedures, health & safety standards and certification updates.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble sub‑assemblies and flight‑part elements for satellite projects.
• Update work orders to reflect tasks performed and ensure accurate documentation.
• Follow all H&S regulations, internal procedures and certification renewal processes.
• Participate in satellite integration campaigns, contributing both electrical and mechanical expertise.
• Support testing activities and continuous technical development within the shopfloor environment.

Required profile

• Formal education: FP in an electronic discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or integration activities, preferably in the aerospace or space sector.
• Advanced level of English.
• High adaptability to new topics, business areas and collaborative work.
• Availability to work double‑shift schedules.
