Analytics Engineer – Core Data Models & Reporting

About the role

King is looking for an Analytics Engineer to join its Core Data Models & Reporting team. You will work in a hybrid environment alongside engineers and analysts across Barcelona, London and Stockholm, turning massive streams of game data into trusted models and self‑service reporting tools.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand analytical challenges and translate them into data solutions.
• Design, build and maintain scalable data models that serve as the foundation for analytics and reporting.
• Transform raw event and product data into clean, reliable datasets using SQL and Python.
• Develop Looker models, dashboards, and custom visualisations for self‑service consumption.
• Collaborate with engineers to shape data architecture, ensuring data quality and documentation standards.
• Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of data products, from design through deployment.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to connect business questions to data insights.
• Experience in analytics engineering, data engineering or product analytics.
• Proactive, curious, and comfortable working in a collaborative, hybrid team.

Required skills

• SQL – writing complex, performant queries.
• Python – data transformation, scripting and workflow automation.
• Data modelling principles and best practices.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses, preferably BigQuery.
• Hands‑on experience building dashboards and visualisations in Looker or a similar BI platform.
