AP Accountant – Europe (Barcelona or Germany)

About the role

Monolithic Power Systems (MPS), a worldwide leader in integrated power semiconductors, is looking for an AP Accountant to support its European subsidiaries. The position reports to the Accounting Supervisor and is based in Barcelona, Spain or Germany (Ettenheim or Munich).

Key responsibilities

• Register and account for invoices, reconcile purchase invoices with purchase orders and verify approvals and compliance with company policies.
• Resolve payment issues and answer payment questions from vendors.
• Carry out account reconciliation and take part in closing processes.
• Prepare ad-hoc audit requests and ensure foreign currency transactions and accounts are correctly recorded.
• Support VAT reporting and other statutory obligations.
• Work with other departments on vendor payment procedures and help optimize processes.
• Take part in automation and process improvement initiatives, and support audits and SOX compliance.
• Support ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Required profile

• BS/BA or technical degree in accounting, administration or a related field.
• 5 years of accounting/administration experience.
• Fluent Spanish and English (C1); another EU language is an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical and organizational skills.
