Associate Accountant – France & Italy

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Accountant to manage accounting and reporting for our French entity while also supporting Italy. Based in Barcelona, you will act as a bridge between local teams and our global headquarters in New York, contributing to the evolution of our financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform accounts payable bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
• Coordinate with local CPA for French VAT and tax filings.
• Support payroll and social security reporting.
• Ensure financial accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Interact regularly with international stakeholders such as the Corporate Controller and auditors.
• Contribute to process improvements, including e‑invoicing and e‑reporting implementation.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of accounting experience in a structured environment.
• Strong knowledge of French GAAP (essential).
• Experience with reporting, compliance, and financial closings.
• Fluency in French and English.
• High attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, international setting.
