Associate Consultant – AI-Powered Process Automation

About the role

Appian Customer Success, the specialized consulting branch of Appian, is hiring an Associate Consultant in Seville, Spain, working on-site. The role builds, implements and deploys custom business applications and prepares you to become a subject matter expert in AI-Powered Process Automation. The company trains candidates on the specific technical competencies needed, prioritising analytical thinking and communication over deep prior technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy process solutions: build, implement and deploy custom, process-centric business applications using Appian's platform.
• Analyse and architect: evaluate client business strategies and operations to design technical solutions that fix complex workflow inefficiencies.
• Apply design thinking to build rapid functional prototypes and map end-to-end business models.
• Integrate systems by combining process improvement disciplines such as application integration, business intelligence and knowledge management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders, delivering projects with strong verbal and written communication.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree, with a record of high performance in and outside the classroom.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, able to craft persuasive arguments and influence stakeholders.
• Logical, analytical problem-solving ability and willingness to learn new technical platforms quickly.
• Willingness to travel 20% or less annually to support customers.
• Prior professional, academic or technical experience is valued but not required.

Required skills

• Preferred: foundational experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL).
• Preferred: fluency in AI and LLMs, both strategically and hands-on.
• Preferred: leadership experience (student organisations, clubs, team captaincy).

What we offer

• Base salary range of 25,000 to 75,000 EUR, depending on experience and qualifications.
• A discretionary bonus may be awarded.
