Avionics Engineer

About the role

Airbus is seeking an Avionics Engineer to lead the definition, development and integration of centralized and recording avionics systems. The role spans the full product lifecycle, from requirements analysis through certification and in‑service support, working closely with engineering, manufacturing and program teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse operational requirements and define avionics system architecture.
• Specify functional and equipment requirements, generate and maintain design documentation such as interface control documents, requirements documents and test protocols.
• Develop avionics system specifications and support equipment engineering activities, including manufacturer and qualification monitoring.
• Perform integration, validation and verification of avionics systems, contributing to safety, security, certification and qualification processes.
• Define development life‑cycle checkpoints, reviews and maturity expectations aligned with program phases.
• Provide detailed data to ensure consistent implementation with system architecture models throughout industrialisation and serial production.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering (e.g., Aerospace, Electrical, Systems Engineering).
• Experience in systems engineering within the avionics domain.
• Advanced proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus.
