Avionics & Mission Integration Test Engineer (Lab/Rig)

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is expanding its Integration Test & Analysis team in Spain. The engineer will join the Avionics & Mission Systems group in Getafe, supporting lab and rig integration tests from requirement definition through execution, analysis and reporting for current and future aircraft programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and assess test requirements, define test procedures and test plans for avionics and mission subsystems.
• Execute ground integration tests, support flight‑test activities and produce detailed test reports.
• Coordinate with design offices, certification authorities and programme offices during certification and qualification phases.
• Analyse test data, track system misbehaviours and provide impact assessments to designers.
• Participate in test planning, optimise test requests and ensure compliance with V&V strategies.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in integration testing (lab/rig) of avionics or mission systems.
• Strong knowledge of integration and test road‑maps and ability to meet project milestones.
• Willingness to travel and work at multiple sites (e.g., Getafe, Manching).
• Technical negotiation skills in English and Spanish.
• Relevant training or certification in integration and test methods is valued.
