Back End Developer – PHP & Symfony (Hybrid, Barcelona)

About the role

CAPITOLE is seeking an experienced Back End Developer to join an international project. The position is hybrid, with two days per week in our Barcelona office and the rest remote.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using PHP and Symfony.
• Build and document robust RESTful APIs.
• Apply Domain‑Driven Design (DDD) principles to structure complex business logic.
• Write automated tests following Test‑Driven Development (TDD) practices.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional, English‑speaking teams across borders.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in backend development with PHP and Symfony.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design.
• Hands‑on experience with DDD and TDD.
• High level of English for daily communication.
