About the role
Deel is looking for a Backend Engineer with strong Node.js and TypeScript expertise to help build and scale its all‑in‑one payroll and HR platform for global teams. You will join a cross‑functional team that delivers seamless experiences to millions of users across more than 150 countries.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA to deliver end‑to‑end features.
- Participate in product planning from discovery through deployment, influencing the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Design, develop, and enhance robust APIs and backend services.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs quickly, maintaining high quality standards.
- Ensure a customer‑centric approach by delivering reliable, high‑performance solutions.
Required profile
- Proven experience in backend development with a focus on Node.js.
- Strong command of TypeScript/JavaScript best practices.
- Experience with at least one additional server‑side technology.
