About the role

Deel is looking for a Backend Engineer with strong Node.js and TypeScript expertise to help build and scale its all‑in‑one payroll and HR platform for global teams. You will join a cross‑functional team that delivers seamless experiences to millions of users across more than 150 countries.

Key responsibilities

Collaborate with Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA to deliver end‑to‑end features.
Participate in product planning from discovery through deployment, influencing the Software Development Lifecycle.
Design, develop, and enhance robust APIs and backend services.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs quickly, maintaining high quality standards.
Ensure a customer‑centric approach by delivering reliable, high‑performance solutions.

Required profile

Proven experience in backend development with a focus on Node.js.
Strong command of TypeScript/JavaScript best practices.
Experience with at least one additional server‑side technology.
