BD&E Intern - Viana, Spain

About the role

Mondelēz International is looking for a BD&E (Business Development & Engineering) intern in Viana, Navarra, near Logroño. The intern joins the team that implements new products and product- and packaging-related processes in the plant, working with well-known brands such as Oreo, Fontaneda and Chips Ahoy. The position is fixed term, starts as soon as possible, and runs 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure effective execution, coordination, tracking and communication of projects, and support BD&E specialists, engineers and plant technologists on projects for new and existing products, packaging and processes.
• Support productivity initiatives in the plant, including process improvement and ingredient optimisation.
• Act as the key contact between the plant and the rest of the company, communicating with functions such as Marketing, R&D and procurement.
• Make sure product and process development follows specifications, regulations and legal obligations.
• Take part in plant trials for new products or processes, supporting trial reports and analyses.

Required profile

• 4-year university degree; an engineering degree or a combination of business management and engineering is preferred, and a food industry or food science engineering degree is ideal.
• Fluent English, as the selection process takes place mainly in English in an international environment.
• A desire to accelerate your career.

Required skills

• Strong operational and manufacturing experience with 5S, LEAN and 6 Sigma tools and concepts, and safety and GMP standards.
• Project management skills and knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong collaboration and relationship management.
