Business Development Manager, Spain & Portugal

About the role

Visa is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth across Spain and Portugal. You will focus on identifying and closing new fintech opportunities, shaping innovative payment use cases, and expanding Visa’s presence in emerging markets.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and build a qualified pipeline of early‑stage fintech leads.
• Qualify, prioritize and manage leads through the sales funnel to closure.
• Lead initial client engagements, articulate Visa’s capabilities, and develop clear close plans.
• Collaborate with Digital Sales and cross‑functional partners to accelerate deal progression.
• Partner with technology enablers to create new use cases and open fintech verticals.
• Construct commercial frameworks, negotiate contracts and drive agreements to sign.
• Maintain CRM hygiene, forecasting and pipeline discipline.
• Support or lead the Visa Innovation Program for Spain and Portugal.

Required profile

• 5+ years of business development or new‑business sales experience, preferably in payments, fintech or technology partnerships.
• Proven “hunter” mindset with a track record of meeting ambitious sales targets.
• Strong relationship‑building and communication skills.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
