Business Development Representative - DACH

About the role

PTC is looking for a Business Development Representative for its DACH region, based in Barcelona. The Inside Sales team partners with global marketing and sales teams to build a customer pipeline and drive bookings, and also acts as a talent pool for the global sales workforce. You will prospect new customers and sell PTC's Digital Transformation solutions to business-to-business clients and global strategic accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new sales opportunities for PTC's Digital Transformation Solutions in Global Strategic Accounts
• Prospect whitespace accounts and target senior-level decision makers, positioning the value of digital transformation
• Investigate and understand the internal business processes of potential clients
• Demonstrate the value of PTC's solutions by phone, email, LinkedIn and other social channels
• Move opportunities down the sales cycle and prepare them for a meeting with the account manager and supporting ecosystem
• Nurture opportunities until they are ready to be passed on

Required profile

• 1 to 3 years of related experience in inside sales or customer-facing roles
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in German and English (mandatory)
• Solution and value selling skills, and ability to position offerings
• Self-motivated, critical thinker with strong willingness to learn and develop
• Able to consult prospects who may not yet see a need or pain point
