Chief Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Project Manager to lead the delivery of a large‑scale IT services contract. As the primary customer‑facing delivery leader, you will ensure successful project execution, operational stability, and high customer satisfaction while working on‑site in Brussels.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of IT services, aligning with customer objectives and contractual commitments.
• Act as the main point of contact for delivery governance, executive reporting, and service performance.
• Establish and maintain governance processes, including reporting, decision management, risk tracking, and escalations.
• Oversee delivery performance across projects and operational services, ensuring quality and proactive risk management.
• Coordinate Build‑to‑Run transitions, guaranteeing operational readiness through documentation, knowledge transfer, and validation.
• Ensure compliance with ITIL service management processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide leadership during major incidents and coordinate resolution across internal teams, partners, and suppliers.
• Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders, delivery teams, and vendors.
• Manage resource planning, capacity, vendor coordination, and support financial forecasting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• More than 10 years of experience managing complex IT projects, programmes or portfolios.
• At least 5 years in a senior IT delivery leadership role with customer‑facing governance responsibilities.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑supplier delivery teams in high‑availability, SLA‑driven environments.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Analytical thinking, proactive risk management and decision‑making capability.

Required skills

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certifications (PgMP, PRINCE2, MSP, SAFe)
• Experience with cloud platforms and enterprise infrastructure
