Cloud Engineer (Hybrid) - GCP & Azure

About the role

Colliers is looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer for its Technology Hub in Madrid, reporting to the Senior Manager Cloud Engineering. The role works in a hybrid model (2 days on site) and contributes to global products and technology services for commercial real estate, collaborating with international Product, Engineering, DevOps, Data, QA and Architecture teams. The Madrid Hub is guided by a global digital strategy and works closely with international teams.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain and improve cloud-native and hybrid workloads using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation, delivering secure, scalable and repeatable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure.
• Implement scalable and secure GCP infrastructure aligned with Technical Design Documents and business requirements.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines, including IaC versioning and change-control workflows.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Terraform through reusable, documented modules.
• Monitor performance, reliability and cost using GCP-native tools (Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Cost Management).
• Ensure compliance with security best practices (IAM, VPC, encryption, audit logging).
• Troubleshoot system issues, performance bottlenecks and incidents, and maintain disaster recovery plans, backups and high-availability configurations.
• Maintain high-quality documentation and runbooks.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering.
• Bachelor's degree (4-year), preferably in engineering or computer science.
• Experience in distributed or remote teams and in a global, multi-cultural organization.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing tech environment and to foster change in larger organizations.

Required skills

• Hands-on Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform and automation frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of GCP and Azure, including networking, IAM, storage and monitoring.
• Tools such as Jira, GitHub, Miro and Azure DevOps.
• Observability tools (e.g. Sentry, Lighthouse).
• GCP certifications (Professional Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
