Commercial Banking Analyst – Madrid (2027 Programme)

About the role

Citi's Commercial Bank (CCB) is recruiting Full-Time Analysts for its Madrid team. The CCB serves businesses with annual sales from $10 million to more than $3 billion, helping them grow through deposit and lending, cash management, trade, FX and capital markets solutions. The Full-Time Analyst Program starts in July 2027, combining in-depth training with hands-on experience and mentorship, and leads to a strong understanding of the CCB target market, credit products, underwriting and the end-to-end credit process.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct company research and industry analysis
• Analyse financial data and perform financial modelling (valuation, discounted cash flow, pro-forma)
• Support commercial lending, including secured and unsecured revolving lines of credit, term loans, syndicated loans, leveraged loans and cross-border loans
• Take ownership of the client experience, partnering with Bankers and Product teams to recommend products
• Help with deal management and client presentations, such as pitch books, prospect memos and business development decks
• Work with product, credit risk, in-business controls, legal, marketing, operations, risk, compliance and technology teams

Required profile

• Final year of university or graduate
• Grade 7 above (Spanish universities)
• Fluent Spanish and English; Portuguese is desirable but not essential
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, interest in business, and passion for partnering with stakeholders
