Communications and Outreach Technician

About the role

The Institut de Física d’Altes Energies (IFAE) is looking for a motivated Communications and Outreach Technician to join its Communication & Outreach Unit. The role supports the institute’s scientific dissemination, public engagement and institutional visibility, contributing to the strategic objectives of IFAE’s Severo Ochoa plan.

Key responsibilities

• Digital Communication and Content Management: create, edit and maintain content for IFAE’s websites and digital communication channels, ensuring accurate, engaging and up‑to‑date information about the institute’s research, activities and achievements.
• Scientific Outreach and Public Engagement: support the design, organisation and implementation of outreach activities for schools, teachers and the general public, including educational programmes, workshops, public lectures, science festivals and European Researchers’ Night events.

Required profile

• Motivated and enthusiastic early‑career professional with a strong interest in science communication and public engagement.
• Ability to collaborate with researchers, students and administrative staff across the institute.
