Content & SEO Operations Specialist

About the role

Breezeway, a property operations and experience platform used by short-term rental managers and hospitality operators, is hiring a fully remote Content & SEO Operations Specialist based in Spain. The role sits at the intersection of technical SEO, content strategy and revenue attribution, helping the team build the organic channel as a revenue driver, from site architecture and internal linking to content workflows and off-site authority. It works directly with the Director of Demand Generation and the content team.

Key responsibilities

• Technical SEO: own the internal link structure, hub-and-spoke cluster architecture, 301 redirects, canonical tags and URL strategy, and ensure correct schema markup and accessibility for LLM crawlers
• Website health: monitor and fix broken links, 404 errors, mixed content, missing hreflang tags and crawl errors, running regular audits with Screaming Frog, Ahrefs and GSC and working with dev and HubSpot on fixes
• Off-site SEO: develop a backlink strategy through PMS partners, pursue placements on industry publications, manage outreach for comparison pages and disavow toxic backlinks
• Content operations: write keyword-optimized content briefs with Clearscope and AirOps, manage the content calendar and review content before publication, oversee refresh cycles and improve the production workflow
• Keyword intelligence: maintain the keyword map, track competitors, run quarterly content gap analyses and spot long-tail opportunities
• Reporting: set up and maintain the Ahrefs rank tracker for share of voice and own GA4 conversion goals

Required profile

• At least 2 years in SEO, content operations or a combined digital marketing role
• Comfortable working independently with data and making prioritization decisions
• Thinks in systems, owns a channel with revenue targets, communicates data clearly to non-technical stakeholders and verifies sources

Required skills

• Ahrefs or SEMrush (mandatory)
