Controls Systems Integration Leader

About the role

GE Vernova is looking for a Controls Systems Integration Leader in Barcelona. You will turn wind turbine product requirements into controls requirements, develop controls parameter settings and contribute to key new product introductions (NPIs). You report to the Controls Integration Leader and join a global team of systems engineers within the Controls Sub-System of the Wind Engineering organization, working closely with other sub-systems, systems engineers, product line and services/customer engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop product and system-level requirements (PLR/SLR) for controls.
• Integrate inputs from functional owners to build turbine controls parameter sets.
• Drive and support NPIs with substantial controls work packages, from early concept through validation and deployment.
• Ensure rigor in controls lifecycle management and compliance with controls and operability processes.
• Support quality issue resolution and root cause analysis on controls software.
• Deliver technical reports and presentations internally and externally.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in controls, systems or services engineering.
• 5+ years of systems integration/engineering in complex industrial sectors such as wind, power generation, oil and gas, aerospace or automotive.
• Knowledge of the product development lifecycle: requirements, design, validation, launch.
• Effective time management, organization, ability to work with a multi-cultural, globally distributed team and strong customer orientation.

Required skills

• Desired: knowledge of real-time control systems (e.g. GE MarkVIe).
• Desired: experience in system-level design and integration.
• Desired: ability to turn high-level product and customer needs into detailed, testable technical requirements.
