Customer Marketing Trainee, World Travel Retail - Madrid (Fall 2026)

About the role

Mondelēz World Travel Retail (WTR) is the global business unit that drives sales in the specialist travel retail channel, operating in airports, border stores, ferries and in-flight environments for brands such as Toblerone, Milka, Cadbury and Oreo. As Customer Marketing Trainee in Madrid, you will handle the executional side of WTR's POS solutions (permanent and promotional) in the region's Duty Free stores, strengthening brand presence at the point of sale with a focus on efficient trade investments. You act as the link between business development managers, brand managers, retailers and key agency partners.

Key responsibilities

• In-store excellence at both permanent and promotional space
• Customer management

• Managing brand ambassador accounts
• Accountability for a significant portion of the WTR A&C budget

Required profile

• Commercial education, university degree or equivalent preferred
• Excellent organizing and prioritizing skills
• Analytical skills
• Open mind and drive for results
• Preferred but not required: business experience in an international environment, preferably in project management or trade marketing
• Fluent English, written and spoken

• Excel and PowerPoint literacy

The position starts in Fall 2026 in Madrid. No relocation support is available. The role is performed under a regional business model managed by Mondelēz Europe GmbH, Switzerland.
