Social Media Intern

About the role

The British College of Gavà, an Inspired school, is looking for a Social Media Intern to join in August or September 2026 on a fixed-term, full-time or part-time basis. The intern works closely with the social media or digital marketing team to support campaigns, content creation and engagement across platforms, gaining hands-on experience in digital communication, social media tools, content strategy and community management.

Key responsibilities

• Create and schedule daily social media content on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and TikTok, including taking photos
• Monitor and engage with followers, reply to comments and manage direct messages
• Track performance with analytics tools, prepare regular reports and suggest improvements
• Research trends, hashtags and competitor activity
• Support the design and execution of social media campaigns and promotions
• Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to align messaging with marketing strategy
• Help with community management and foster positive interactions
• Take on other duties such as patio duties, trips, invigilations and registration

Required profile

• Strong passion for social media and understanding of the main platforms
• Ability to take high-quality photos, as visual content is central to the role
• Spanish and English

Required skills

• Familiarity with social media management tools and analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook Insights)
• Basic graphic design skills or experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator is a plus
• Office productivity tools such as Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
