Data Analyst (SAS / SQL) - German Speaker, Remote Spain

About the role

IQVIA is recruiting a Data Analyst for its Madrid Center of Excellence office, working remotely from Spain. The role sits in the Real-World Solutions (RWS) department of the regional business unit, which has more than 80 data analysts and consultants covering real-world evidence, epidemiology, market access and health economics. You will run analyses and oversee project deliverables for top clients in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, working closely with the project manager.

Key responsibilities

• Perform strategic, recurrent and ad hoc analyses to derive trends, conclusions and recommendations from qualitative and quantitative data, including longitudinal patient and prescription datasets.
• Evaluate secondary data on markets, physicians, pharmacists, patients and competitive products.
• Work closely with the business intelligence units of top pharma clients.
• Create reports, presentations and other client deliverables.

Required profile

• Completed degree in life sciences, public health, health economics, (bio)informatics, mathematics, statistics, epidemiology or a comparable field.
• Relevant experience in data analysis, biostatistics or epidemiology.
• Fluent German and confident in German and English client conversations.
• Team player able to integrate into an international, multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to work independently and organise analytical tasks within a project team.

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of at least one statistical programming language; SAS or healthcare data analysis is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and quality, customer- and solution-oriented approach.
• Confident use of Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Nice to have: database studies, data mining, big data, and experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
