Data Science Trainee

About the role

MEDSIR is looking for a Data Science Trainee to join its Scientific Department. Working under the Data Science Lead, you will support data‑driven activities that underpin oncology clinical trials, gaining hands‑on experience in a fast‑growing, research‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and compile data from clinical trials, research studies and healthcare databases.
• Clean, preprocess and validate raw data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Assist in statistical analysis and data modelling using Python, R or specialised analytics tools.
• Generate reports and dashboards that communicate findings to project managers and other stakeholders.
• Perform quality‑assurance checks and document data sources, transformations and analysis methods.
• Support research projects by providing data‑related assistance to scientists and project teams.
• Follow data‑privacy and security regulations such as HIPAA and GDPR.
• Continuously update knowledge of emerging data‑analytics techniques through training and self‑study.

Required profile

• Signed agreement with your academic centre (mandatory).
• Enrolled in a relevant degree programme and able to work under supervision of the Data Science Lead.
