Datacenter Infrastructure Lead – Spain

About the role

The Data Center Infrastructure Lead for Spain provides strategic leadership and governance for all critical infrastructure operations across the country. Reporting to the Country Head of Data Center Operations, the role ensures safe, secure, reliable and available operation of multiple data centre campuses while driving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Facility Manager Leads and Critical Environment Manager Leads to achieve operational excellence, regulatory compliance and engineering governance.
• Manage operational budgets (CAPEX and OPEX), forecast spending and provide early warnings on risks or overruns.
• Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly performance reports for senior leadership and participate in ISO9001, 27001, 50001, PCI‑DSS, ISAE‑3402 and ENS audits.
• Develop and execute a three‑year roadmap in collaboration with the Country Director and Head of Data Center Operations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in mission‑critical operations or similar leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Fluent in English (B2/C1) and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Facility management and critical environment operations.
• Engineering governance and incident management (root cause analysis, corrective actions).
• Development and monitoring of operational KPIs and maintenance strategies.
• Asset lifecycle management and operational risk management.
• IT Service Management (ITSM) tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow or MCIM.
