Data Scientist – Hybrid (Barcelona)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join our Data Science team in Barcelona. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work both on‑site and remotely while contributing to eDreams ODIGEO’s mission of becoming the global leader in online travel.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced analytics and machine‑learning models for areas such as fraud detection, recommendation engines, personalization, flight‑combination optimisation and marketing campaigns.
• Research, develop and maintain cutting‑edge AI‑powered solutions that run at scale across the business.
• Process and analyse massive data sets using modern Big Data technologies.
• Deploy and monitor dozens of production models that generate hundreds of thousands of daily predictions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to turn data insights into actionable business decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist working with large‑scale data.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to choose the best tool for each problem.
• Experience in delivering end‑to‑end machine‑learning projects in a fast‑moving environment.

Required skills

• Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark or equivalent).
• Machine learning and statistical modelling.
• Artificial intelligence concepts and implementation.
